Hand-tied flowers in water
- Your hand-tied can be kept in its packaging for up to 2 days.
- Carefully top the design up daily, slowly pouring water through the centre.
- After 2 days remove the cellophane bubble, carefully pierce the bubble over the sink to release the water, remove the packaging and cut all the stems at a 45- degree angle.
- Remove any foliage that will sit below the water level.
- Empty the sachet of flower food we have provided you with into your chosen vase, and fill three quarters full with water.
- Put the bouquet into the vase and place in a cool position.

- Carefully remove the packaging.
- Clean your vase using hot water and a little washing up liquid, or rinse with water that you have added a little bleach to.
This will kill of any bacteria inside the vase and it will help your flowers live longer. - Using a sharp clean pair of scissors cut about 1 inch off each of the stems at a 45-degree angle.
- Remove any foliage that will sit below the water level as these will decompose and contaminate the water and reduce the life span of your flowers.
- Fill the vase three quarters full put the flowers into the vase and place in a cool position away from heating appliances, direct sunlight or draughts.
- Add fresh water daily.
Flower Arrangements
- Top up the arrangement daily with fresh water, slowly pouring water into the container to avoid any spills.
- Place your arrangement on top of a table mat, not directly onto any polished surfaces.
General Tips
- Keep all fresh flower designs away from draughts, direct sunlight and heating appliances.
- The cooler the room, the longer the flowers will last.
- Remove blooms as they fade.
- Lily pollen can stain, if you do get any on clothing or furniture dab off with cellotape, never use water.
- Wash your hands after arranging your flowers as some contain a milky sap which can irritate the skin.
- Berries may also stain and should never be eaten.
